What is ambulances4ukraine?
Tens of thousands of greeting cards, Christmas cards and published prints have been donated so that all the money raised goes towards buying and delivering exactly the kind of ambulances needed by the Ukraine Ambulance Services.
Scottish artist Ritchie Collins has donated the original painting, entitled 'Field of Hope', together with the copyright of all the card images, to enable ambulances4ukraine to maximise its fund raising.
These prints and cards are being sold through galleries, retail outlets, clubs and individuals throughout Scotland, with 100% of the income going to ambulances4ukraine.
How much are we aiming to raise?
Each ambulance, together with servicing, new tyres, insurance, ferry and fuel, etc. delivered to Ukraine will cost between £7,000 - £9,000. Our first ambulance cost £4,900, new tyres, battery, medical equipment and the cost to take it out to Ukraine cost a further £1,800. Our latest 4x4 vehicle (being delivered to Ukraine in January 2025) to be used as a fast response ambulance, cost £1,500 and £1,200 to deliver. Ideally we are looking to deliver ambulance(s) every couple of months.
With your help and generosity I'm sure we can achieve this goal. We are constantly looking for ways of raising money for this very worthy cause. Keep checking out the website to see our progress and how you can help, including some great offers on limited edition prints.
What happens if the war stops?
That would be a very good thing and we hope it happens soon. However, the Ukrainian Ambulance Services are unfortunately going to need a good number of ambulances and minibuses with wheelchair lifts for some time to come. The urgency does not stop when the war does.
Remember... 100% of all money raised goes to providing much needed ambulances for Ukraine.
